The Macmillan Coracle Relay World Championship raises funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.   It is organised by a committee of Shropshire volunteer supporters.  Shropshire Coracle Maker, Terry Kenny, supplies all the coracles used for the event and a range of sponsors kindly donate their time, services and money to maximise the amount raised.

Teams came from organisations across Shropshire and further afield including estate agents, vets, nurses, the RAF, solicitors, wine merchants, carers and groups of friends.  Many don fancy dress and bring along their supporters, who raise funds by tucking into the hog roast, refreshing their palates at the Tanners Wines’ Pimms bar, buying T-shirts, foam hands or by simply making a donation.
